A Dedication To My Hero!!!!

I would like to introduce you to my hero....I have known him for many years....We actually grew up together....

He is my BROTHER....

It's actually pretty funny about our relationship....We have definitely had our ups and downs....We have had our share of sibling rivalry, fights and arguments....However in the end, he is and will always be my brother and My Hero!!!! He has always been there for me when I needed him even when we are at odds with each other or in disagreement....Over the years, we have learned to love, respect, forgive and stand by each other....I consider our relationship something very special....Family values and morals are very important to the both of us....I know he is someone I can count on any day of the week and any time of day....I guess that's because we have been through allot of the same things even when we weren't together....Most people consider their siblings to be trouble and they don't like to deal with each others problems....Sometimes that is true, but if Family is something you value, then you stick together no matter what your differences are and you find a way to work through them....

We don't quite talk as often as we should, but we chat when we can....We e-mail as often as possible....We don't get to see each other as much as we would like, but we visit when we have the chance....Even though we are only a phone call away from each other, having busy lives between jobs & family makes it hard to keep up....It also doesn't help when we live 700 miles apart....He is definitely ONE of a kind....I think of him everyday and miss him greatly!!!!

He enjoys hunting, fishing and camping in the great outdoors....His work keeps him occupied, so that all he has time for is sleep and nothing more these days....He is very dedicated to his job and family....But that's ok, because he enjoys saving others....Yes, he is a Firefighter!!!!He enjoys giving back to others what they have given to him....Being a firefighter means everything to him....He has enjoyed it for many years since he was a teenager....He is a prime example in my eye and my childrens eyes as to what America is all about....Helping others in their time of need....

In honor of My Hero, I would like to share a short poem I wrote for my family to help us get through the hard times in life.

Always be true to yourself and follow your heart!
Never let anyone get in the way of what is truly yours!
